Support for the people living in Ukraine

Providing humanitarian aid and medical assistance to Ukraine and its people suffering from the consequences of the conflict is crucial. The ongoing humanitarian disaster is affecting millions of people in Ukraine and it is important for us as a charity to provide support to those in need. Critical infrastructure in Ukraine, including hospitals and primary medical facilities, has been destroyed, leaving the Ukrainian population without access to basic services. Consequently, in February 2022, RMHC Latvia decided to get involved and provide essential medical services to the people of Ukraine

Since March 2022, RMHC Latvia, in cooperation with other international charitable organisations, has been providing Mobile Clinic services throughout Ukraine. Providing medical assistance to the Ukrainian population through the Mobile Clinic ensures access to healthcare, especially in hard-to-reach areas. The locations visited by the Mobile Clinic are determined in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The Mobile Clinic is staffed by 3 medical professionals who provide general health check-ups, ultrasound examinations and ophthalmologist services.

With the care of the Ukrainian medical staff working in the Mobile Clinic, our Mobile Clinic has provided much-needed medical assistance to 27 437 Ukrainian citizens during this period.

We are with Ukraine!
