05 Sep Helping over 1,000 Latvian kids in less than one year
Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), is a charity established almost 35 years ago that is active in more than 50 countries. We create and support programs that improve children’s health and well-being.
The Care Mobile has been working since autumn of 2010. By August of 2011 the Care Mobile helped more than 1,000 children in 25 different cities.
In May we received a significant donation that will impace the health care that we can provide to the children of Latvia – GE Healthcare donated a small, portable, ultrasound scanner called the ‘Vscan’ that physicians can use for primary diagnostics and examinations. With the Vscan, physicians can make internal examinations to diagnose situations more accurately, and to provide high quality medical examinations of the heart, abdominal cavity, kidneys, liver, gallbladder, and other organs. It can also be used for gynecological examinations.
