Strength in numbers- 780!

Big round of applause for all the members of Care Mobile team! From January 1st till February 29th- 780 children received medical services!

We are thankful to our supporters! Without you we could not do the all this work for the children of Latvia and their families!

How does nurse Nadežda suggest that you keep healthy?

Particular attention should be paid to your child’s shoes! It is best to buy shoes in a size which still allows room for warm socks; boots should not be tight fitting. Too much compression will reduce blood flow, leading to an increased feeling of coldness. As a result, children are more likely to become ill.

Dr. Karklins, Allergist, gives advice on how to keep your children healthy during the winter

1) As much as possible, be active and take part in outdoor winter activities.

2) Remember that children need to be dressed for warmth, but they must not be so overdressed  that they start to sweat!

3) Scarves should not be tied in front of your child’s mouth, because the scarf becomes covered with condensation, and breathing through a damp scarf will cause your child to breathe cold, damp air.

To all the lovely joys of winter!
